A NOTE ON CALORIE COUNT, NUTRITIONAL INFO AND SERVING SIZES

Due to my past experiences, I do not include most of the above information within my recipes as it is unsafe for me to do so personally. While I try to share a rough estimate when it comes to the serving size, please note that it is very subjective as we all have different hunger levels both from person to person and even from meal to meal.

If any of the above information is important to you, I understand! We are all different and have various goals and needs. If you’d like, you are welcome to calculate the information needed based on the ingredients you use when making one of my recipes.

I hope you understand! This comes from a place of love and protection both for myself and others like me. If you ever have any questions, send me an Instagram message for the quickest response time! Thank you for being here!

Course Dessert

Servings 4 bars

Ingredients

Frozen Yogurt Filling (Added Protein Version)

  • ¼ cup runny peanut butter (Ingredients should just be peanuts and maybe salt)
  • 1 cup yogurt of choice (I use vanilla coconut yogurt, aka yogurt made from coconuts, linked in the blog post)
  • ¼ cup candy or cookies of choice, crushed into pieces (Your favorite blizzard filling! Cookies and peanut butter cups I used are linked in the blog post)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder of choice (Can also use chocolate!)

Frozen Yogurt Filling (No Added Protein Version)

  • ½ cup runny peanut butter (Ingredients should just be peanuts and maybe salt)
  • 1 cup yogurt of choice (I use vanilla coconut yogurt, aka yogurt made from coconuts, linked in the blog post)
  • ¼ cup candy or cookies of choice, crushed into pieces (Your favorite blizzard filling! Cookies and peanut butter cups I used are linked in the blog post)

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (Can omit if allergic, it just makes the chocolate silky, smooth and thin!)

Instructions

  • Crush or chop your blizzard filling of choice, whether it's cookies, candy or even just chocolate chips or nuts.

  • Combine all of your filling ingredients and stir together until fully incorporated.

  • Depending on the size, shape and number of treats you want, you can adjust this step. I filled 4 dixie cups with the filling and put a popsicle stick down the center to freeze.

You can also line a baking sheet or flat plate with parchment paper and scoop about ¼ cup of the filling to make four circles on the parchment lined sheet or plate. Then, press a popsicle stick into each circle if you wish, or leave it as is. If using a popsicle stick, be sure to cover the stick with the filling. Finally, you can make these into little bite sized pieces or add them into a popsicle mold. Whatever works for you!

  • Freeze for 2 hours.

  • Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each increment.

  • Once melted and smooth, use the chocolate to completely cover each blizzard bar.

  • Place coated onto a piece of parchment paper to allow the chocolate to harden. Since they're frozen, the chocolate should harden without putting it back in the freezer.

  • Enjoy right away or keep in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

Recipe Notes:

  • Choose whatever fillings you’d like, from nuts to candy to cookies!
  • If you want, you can taste the filling prior to freezing it to ensure you like the taste. If you want it sweeter, add a little maple syrup or honey to it!
  • It should go without saying, but please, if you’re making the protein powder version, be sure to use a protein powder you like the taste of! Also, if you’re not a greek yogurt fan, I wouldn’t use it for this recipe either!
  • You can make these into any size you want, you can use a popsicle mold, make them into bite sized pieces, really whatever you’d like!

Once Frozen:

  • Once super frozen, you will need the treats to thaw slightly. You can also pop them into the microwave for 30ish seconds (if you’re impatient like me!)
