Guru Skimmer Carbon Pole Floats

The Guru Skimmer Carbon Pole Floats is a true all-rounder for natural venues, ideal for stillwaters and canals, or slow-moving rivers. The body shape is an elongated rugby ball, offering superb stability and a great shape body to offer low resistance to a taking fish and when striking it out of the water. A perfect addition to any natural venue anglers match fishing tackle.

The Hi-Viz fibreglass bristles and the stem diameters increase as the size of these pole floats increase from 0.5g all the way up to 4g, so everything is in proportion and balanced as you step up in size. The fibreglass tips on these pole floats are easy to see and also translucent, making them visible in all light conditions, with the glass being highly sensitive to identify bites from all sizes of fish in different situations. The carbon stem version of these pole floats is better suited to fast fishing situations where reduced tangles are priority when shipping in and out super-fast, or when you’re looking to catch fish on the drop allowing the float to follow the shot down as it falls through the water. The carbon itself is thin for ultimate performance, cutting through the water cleanly so you don’t get the annoying hold-ups in surface skim on calm days with these Guru pole floats.

The Guru Natural Pole Float Range Explained: This particular range of Guru pole floats has been in development for a long time, we’re pretty sure you’ve seen various samples used by our consultants and in films for a good while now! However, we’ve been constantly tweaking and adding to the range during the design and production phase for us to produce a comprehensive collection of pole floats that are tailored to a diverse range of natural venue work across rivers, canals and stillwaters. Finally, they have arrived! The range of Guru pole floats comprises of eight different patterns that covers many shapes and sizes, all having specific uses in different situations.

You’ve undoubtedly noticed that the floats have been tried and tested thoroughly by our team of international anglers, with the likes of Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing towards the production of these pole floats. Huge amounts of attention and lots of alterations have been made to the lengths and diameters of stems and bristles, so each size is unique and perfect for the situation in hand. The key feature that sets this range of pole floats aside from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex Paint Finish, giving the floats ultimate strength, durability and longevity. This finish means the high-quality balsa bodies of the float are protected by a super thin and incredibly durable elastic coating that wraps the body, preventing any damage to the body from wear, impact or line-cutting into it, further reducing the chances of these Guru pole floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in colour, which our key anglers felt was important with these floats been used on clear, natural venues, the dark body blending onto the water enabling ultimate focus on the Hi-Viz bristles.
