Festivals are back this weekend: The Fall Festival on the Green, the Morris Arts Fest, Bottle Hill Day, Shedfest…

THURSDAY, SEPT. 20, 2021:

Relax and decompress at 10 am, withyogaon the side lawn ofThe Morristown & Township Library. Please wear a mask to enter and exit the session, and bring your own yoga mat and desired equipment. The event is open to all ability levels and no sign-up is required.

Morrs Arts hosts a reception for its new exhibition, The Color of Life, from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Atrium Gallery in Morristown. Six artists will be on hand to discuss their works. Free. Masks and social distancing required. The gallery fills floors two through five of the Morris County Administration and Records Building at 10 Court St. The exhibition runs through Jan. 10, 2022, and can be viewed weekdays during business hours.

FRIDAY, OCT. 1:

The Folk Project’sweeklyTroubadour concert series presents Mad Agnes with Tom Gala, at 7:30 8 pm in the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship in Morris Township. Admission: $10 at the door, $10.50 online; livestream, $2.99. Proof of vaccination required for live show; no children under 12 (until they are eligible for vaccination). At 21 Normandy Heights Road.

SATURDAY, OCT. 2:

Ready for some fall cleaning? Shred sensitive documents,while supporting Morristown High School scholarships by the Kiwanis Club, from 9 am to noon, behind Morristown town hall, off Franklin Street. Price: $5 per bag or box.

The Morris Plains Farmers Market holds its penultimate Saturday session from 9 am to 1 pm; concludes on Oct. 9, 2021. Hosting eight vendors, and special guests. At 771 Speedwell Ave.

Assumption Church in Morristown holds its annual Blessing of the Animals at 9:30 am, by the statue of St. Francis near the rectory, at 91 Maple Ave. in Morristown. Rain or shine. Bring your pets!

Madison’s Bottle Hill Day festivities run from 10 am to 5 pm in the downtown. Four stages of live entertainment, 200 vendor booths, amusem*nt rides, shopping, food and a Beer Garden. The festival is free. For more, email here.

Morris Arts presents its second annual Morris Arts Fest from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Doe Meadow area of Lewis Morris County Park, Mendham Road, Morris Township. An art exhibit and sale of works by Morris County area visual artists and crafters. Rain date: Oct. 3. Read more here.

SUNDAY, OCT. 3:

The Morristown Farmers Marketis open every Sunday through Nov. 21, 2021, from 8:30 am to 1 pm, in parking lot 10J, behind the Morristown Post Office at Spring and Morris Streets. TheMorristown Partnershipwelcomes 17 new vendors this year. Persons at high risk for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC, may be admitted early, at 8 am.

After a year’s pandemic hiatus, the 26th annual Morristown Festival on the Green returns to the downtown, from noon to 5 pm, rain or shine. Multiple stages featuring music; kids activities, restaurant booths, and more. Read a preview here. Presented by the Morristown Partnership.

For original music, joinThe Folk ProjectforJoe Guzzo’s Stayaway Sundays Showat 3 pm. Each week, Guzzo presents fans with video performances from events past, interviews with performers, and his own take on the world of music.

The nonprofit Raritan Headwaters Association presents Shedfest, from noon to 5 pm. Live music, food trucks, hayrides, a beer tent, cider, games, children’s activities, and more, at the nonprofit’s headquarters, the Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve at 2121 Larger Cross Road, Bedminster. Tickets: $30 for RHA members, $35 for non-members in advance; $50 per at event. Children 12 and under, free. Proceeds benefit the RHA. Rain or shine. Bring lawn chairs or beach blankets. The Whippany Railway Museum’s “Pumpkin Patch Train” departs on the hour between 1 pm and 4 pm on a 10-mile, 45-minute round trip from Whippany to Roseland. A $15 ticket ticket entitles you to pick a pumpkin after the ride. It also includes a pumpkin decorating kit. Children are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes.
